First possible Tropical Storm Track – Eastern Pacific (May 2025).This report compares early forecast data between the PEECTS model and the National Hurricane Center (NHC) during the formation of the first potential tropical storm of the 2025 Eastern Pacific hurricane season.
Forecast Track Comparison Both models were activated in near real-time, with the PEECTS model applying Elastic Time Corrections (ETC) and entropy logic.
The goal was to assess the potential for improved early detection and path prediction.
