Why Hypatia?
Sadly , the horrendous murder of Hypatia through dismemberment and torture, triggered by the political-religious ambitions of a religious leader of the time and perpetrated by a group of monks belonging to the same religious movement (Wikipedia), are historical events that should never be forgotten.

Her assassination, orchestrated by that religious group, that culminated with the destruction of Alexandria and its unique famous library, must remain as symbols of the destructive capacity of human “irrationality”, and of the ease with which crowds can be, have been and (hoping I am proven wrong) will continue to be manipulated, incited and sustained by the most destructive weakness of any system, ” Intolerance” of any kind.

When reading about the life of this great woman, by reading the opinions of modern experts who analyzed Hypatia contributions (mathematicians, archaeologists, historians, etc.), it is immediately apparent the inclination of some of them to minimize her contributions to a lesser level, by adding clarifications that takes away attention from the most important facts.

In critical historical events like this one, it is relatively frequent to observed a tendency of diverting attention away from the critical issue, perhaps in anticipation of possible repercussions from powerful groups. This out of fear cover up behaviors could have been implicated as one of the reasons keeping humanity trapped inside this loophole.

The LBC (Leader-Believe-Crowd) trilogy, generally present on this type of historical events, often involves an ambitious leader, an ideal or believe as the cohesive medium and the followers or crowd, characteristically easy to manipulate.

The magnitude of the force involve in the roles played by each of the components is different for any event final outcome. I urge you to allow yourself some time to analyze it. Especially, the role of reason, intelligence, culture, etc., and the influence it could have or not, on the biological mechanisms that are triggered when those ingredients are present, and leading to these atrocities.

My second and last question is ; As a specie, do we have the strength, the capacity and commitment of using the already established STEM structure, to scientifically guide us into the understanding and incorporation of living in a “Collective Harmonious Coexistence?”.

To help you begin an analysis, I ask how each of you would respond when knowing the data reported by WHO (World Health Organization), that up to now, less than 1% of the world population has been vaccinated and that goals will possibly take many years, mostly because billions of people or countries can not pay for it? I leave you with that question.

Facts From Wikipedia:
Hypatia was a Hellenistic Neoplatonist philosopher, astronomer, and mathematician, who lived in Alexandria, Egypt, then part of the Eastern Roman Empire. She was a prominent thinker of the Neoplatonic school in Alexandria where she taught philosophy and astronomy. Although preceded by Pandrosion, another Alexandrine female mathematician, she is the first female mathematician whose life is reasonably well recorded. Hypatia was renowned in her own lifetime as a great teacher and a wise counselor. She is known to have written a commentary on Diophantus’s thirteen-volume Arithmetica, which may survive in part, having been interpolated into Diophantus’s original text, and another commentary on Apollonius of Perga’s treatise on conic sections, which has not survived. Many modern scholars also believe that Hypatia may have edited the surviving text of Ptolemy’s Almagest, based on the title of her father Theon’s commentary on Book III of the Almagest.Wikipedia
